Beatling — Privacy Policy

Short version: Beatling collects nothing. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. Everything the app remembers stays on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. Beatling does not have a login system, does not run any analytics or advertising SDK, and does not send any data to us or to any third party. There are no servers behind this app — it works fully offline.

What's stored on your device

Player profiles you create (name, chosen avatar emoji)
Level progress and star ratings
App settings: tempo, timing tolerance, sound, language

All of this is stored locally using the platform's standard app storage (UserDefaults on iOS, SharedPreferences on Android) and never leaves the device. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.

Purchases

Beatling offers one in-app purchase ("Full Version") to unlock all levels and songs. Purchases are processed entirely by the platform's own billing system — Apple's StoreKit on iOS, Google Play Billing on Android — and we never see your payment details. Because Beatling is aimed at families, the purchase button sits behind a simple parental gate (a math question) so it isn't a one-tap accident for a young child.

Artwork and audio

Some illustrations and backgrounds in the app were generated or enhanced with AI tools; they depict no real person, place, brand or copyrighted work. All music is synthesised on-device in real time, using traditional nursery melodies in the public domain.

Children's privacy

Beatling is designed to be safe for children to use unsupervised in terms of privacy: it collects no personal information from anyone, of any age, at any time.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example if a future version adds a feature that does collect data — this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
